This is a black and white aerial photograph of salt marshes behind Bald Head Island.  The darkest parts of the picture are water.  The bright areas are dry land.  See the bright, large, tree-covered islands in the upper right corner of the picture.  The marsh is lighter than the water, but much darker than the dry land. 

Can you find a tidal creek that brings salt water into the marsh twice a day?
